    Protect Home Values
by preserving parks, trees, and open areas

                                                                                                     A Texas Nonprofit Association
About us:
Protect Home Values is a Texas Non-
Profit Association that was formed in
2007 by some of your East Dallas
neighbors who were concerned about
City of Dallas plans that included
possible channelization of Dixon
Branch—the creek that crosses Buckner
just north of Casa Linda shopping
center.  We know that preserving trees,
natural creeks, lakes and parks
enhances neighborhoods and protects
the value of our homes. Everyone at
Protect Home Values is an unpaid
volunteer.  Our association's most
important purpose is to persuade
officials and administrators to preserve
parkland including White Rock Lake Park
to protect home values.

The President of the Peninsula Neighborhood
Association says this about Protect Home Values:
“I’m David Shinn President of the Peninsula
    Neighborhood Association. We recently voted
unanimously to donate $1500.00 to Protect Homes
Values for yard signs; and that’s a lot for us. There’s a
proposal to build a new boat house on the east side of
White Rock Lake, and we think it’s vital that everyone
understand what that means. We don’t believe that
projects like this benefit the majority of Park users, and
are in fact detrimental to the Park. This is a bad deal for
the City, our neighborhood, and most important for
    White Rock Park.”
